This Sunday, September 22nd, is FRIEND DAY 2024! What an exciting day at Grand Haven Church of God. All are welcomed and we are excited for what a fun and joyful day it will be.
[Proverbs 18:24 KJV] A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
“As David had Jonathon and the Apostle Paul had Luke, even as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, were all friends in life and in faith; so do we have friends that we want to get closer with, and no better way, then by going to church together” said Pastor Nathan Strom.
Pastor Nathan and his wife, Rebekah, came to Grand Haven Church of God two years ago and this is the first Friend Day he has led here at GHCOG. “I want this Friend Day to be one our members will be proud to bring their friends too.” Pastor Strom noted. It is with that in mind, that we are spending much time in preparation for this service. We are praying and asking of the Lord to bless this service far above any of our services thus far.
We also have 2 prizes this year for everyone who brings a first-time visitor [friend] with them to church on this Sunday. A $50 amazon gift card for the one who brings the most “friends” and a second $25 amazon gift card that will be drawn with everyone who brings at least one first-time friend with them to service. We will also be handing out door prizes to all first-time friends with us this Sunday.
