keep yourselves in the love of God,
waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ

Man is a sinner

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)

“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us” (1 John 1:8)

Eternal life is available

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23)

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16)

Repentance is required

“People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13)

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” (Acts 3:19)

Confession is commanded

“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9)

Yield your life

“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (James 4:8)

“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

Ask God to save you today …

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner in need of mercy and that your plan for me to have a right relationship with you. I believe that you died for my sins and arose from the grave. I now turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I receive You as my personal savior and follow You as my Lord. Amen.”
